Social Development department reiterates commitment to strengthening SASSA grants

Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and dedication to improving upon South African Social Security Company (SASSA) companies during an engagement while using the company's senior managers in a strategic setting up session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.
On the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for your National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% from the registered pupils in the training sector.
These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.
